Google Search Console

Site Verification through Google Search Console
The first step to getting your website noticed on Google is to verify your ownership. You can do this by going on Google Search Console.

STEP 1:
Create a Google Search Console account.
STEP 2:
Once you create your account, this is how your homepage will look.

Now you need to add your website URL to get it verified. Click on the drop-down menu.

Click on Add property.

STEP 3:
Enter your website URL in the format below (https://yourwebsite) in the URL prefix section. Click on Continue.

You will come across the site verification page. As we are not using the HTML file method of verification, click on the upward arrow.

Click on the downward arrow next to "HTML Tag". We will be using that method.

STEP 5:
You will see a meta tag.

You need to copy the part of the tag within the quotation marks that comes after content=.
Note: This is very important.

To paste that snippet log in to your Aasaan app and install Google Search Console from your app market. Click here to learn how to install apps.
STEP 7:
Click on Business.

Click on Apps.

Click on Google Search Console.

Enter the part of the meta tag from step 5 and click on Verify.

STEP 12:
After you give Google the requested permissions to your account, the meta tag snippet is successfully uploaded.
STEP 13:
Go back to your Google Search Console and click on Verify.

Your website is now verified.
